Disempowering Shame.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

From the verses above, we can find hope that sustainable change is attainable through perseverance and consistency. Coming to G4 Recovery-Support Groups for the first time can be somewhat intimidating because for some people this is the first step on their road to recovery. It can be difficult to walk into an unknown place with questions especially when you don’t know the right person to ask. For that reason, I have compiled a list of questions that we’ve heard from first-time attenders and have done my best to answer those questions.
